Ready, Set, Eat! is an in-home meal preparation service, which answers the “What’s for Dinner?” question for busy Portland professionals and families. All menus are specifically tailored to your wants, needs, or dietary restrictions. Your Ready, Set, Eat! home chef can easily integrate any of the over 2,000 recipes we currently use or some of your family favorites. When you hire Ready, Set, Eat!, our team of chefs will:
- Come to your home, conduct an Initial Consultation interview, and have you complete a detailed food questionnaire. We will also schedule your initial cooking date.
- Use the results of the interview and the questionnaire to develop your personalized menu, listing entrees , side dishes, serving sizes, and storage preferences for the meals chosen. Nutritional information for the items chosen can also be requested at this time, if the client desires.
- Present the menu to you by email or fax for your approval one week prior to your scheduled cooking day.
After menu approval, we prepare our equipment specifically for your menu. We bring all of the items needed to complete the service, including pots, pans, utensils, and any other items necessary. We grocery shop exclusively for your ingredients the morning of your cooking day, to ensure ultimate freshness. All perishable ingredients are transported in a cooler and reusable grocery bags are utilized to reduce waste.
We cook the entire menu in your home in one day, packaging and refrigerating or freezing each item according to the highest quality standards. We leave thawing and reheating instructions, as well as complete nutritional information, for each menu item made, ensuring your ultimate ease in reheating. Lastly, we leave your kitchen clean and home smelling of the wonderful foods prepared that day. You simply reheat the meals according to the reheating instructions and enjoy the free time, the clean kitchen and fabulous food!
