About Karen...
For nearly 30 years, Karen O'Keefe, owner and President of Evergreen Funding Group, has been involved in strategic planning and problems solving, so she understands the importance of finding solutions that work. Her experience includes international commerce, arbitration and contract negotiations, as well as management of multi-million dollar budgets. She enjoys the challenges that come from analyzing a situation and mapping out a solution, particularly when that solution can help a client move forward or grow and expand their business.
On-going education and training is something that Karen actively pursues. With a Bachelor’s Degree from Villanova University, Karen has completed graduate level course work at Portland State University. She has also completed class work and training in the areas of accounting, finance and negotiation, as well as general and advanced training from the American Cash Flow Institute, having earned their Certified Cash Specialist designation. Karen is currently participating in the Oregon Entrepreneurs Network’s Executive Series on Mastering Finance.
A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Karen moved to Oregon for grad school and loved it so much she decided to call it home. In addition to tap dancing, Karen enjoys reading mysteries and non-fiction political books. She and her husband, Dave, of more than 20 years also enjoy spending time with their cat named Max.
